ABOUT
BRICS+ Arbitration Academy
Founded in 2026 at an initiative of the Association of Lawyers of Russia and the Russian Arbitration Association, the BRICS+ International Arbitration Academy was established in response to the evolving challenges facing cross-border dispute resolution.
Today, the effective functioning of international arbitration is increasingly affected by geopolitical tensions, sanctions, and attempts to use these instruments to restrict trade, create unequal conditions for market participants, and deprive parties of the right to a fair trial.
The BRICS+ Academy seeks to address the growing need for an independent, internationally oriented, and highly qualified arbitration community capable of ensuring the fair, impartial, and professional resolution of international commercial disputes.

• Distinguished legal expert with extensive academic and professional experience. Practised as an attorney until 2025.
• Actively engaged in expert and public initiatives aimed at advancing legal education, promoting the development of national and international legal frameworks.
• Author and initiator of numerous projects fostering legal and academic cooperation, strengthening professional dialogue, and building trust across the BRICS, SCO, and CIS regions.
• Holds a law degree from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) and completed postgraduate and doctoral studies at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA).
• Actively engaged in expert and public initiatives aimed at advancing legal education, promoting the development of national and international legal frameworks.
• Author and initiator of numerous projects fostering legal and academic cooperation, strengthening professional dialogue, and building trust across the BRICS, SCO, and CIS regions.

• Has over 27 years of experience as a highly qualified litigation and arbitration lawyer in international arbitration and courts.
• Acting international arbitrator and recommended dispute resolution lawyer in leading legal directories, including Chambers Global and Legal 500.
• One of Russian leading lawyers in international dispute resolution and commercial arbitration.
• Since 2024, he has been delegated from the ICC Russia National Committee to
the ICC Global Commission on Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
• Holds a law degree, a PhD in Law from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU), and an LL.M. in International Business Law from Leiden University.

• Fluent in Russian, English, Vietnamese, and speaks French.
• Holds a law degree and an LL.M. from the International Law School at MGIMO University.

Liaison Officers
- • Representatives of arbitral institutions and partner organisations in the countries hosting the programme workshops.
- • Provide on-the-ground organisational and administrative support for holding the Programme.
- • Coordinate with local arbitral institutions, law institutions, universities, and other partner organisations to facilitate the preparation and implementation of the Academy's activities.
- • Serve as the coordinators between participants, speakers, and host institutions.
